AFTERNOON WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS

ASM 2025

FRIDAY AFTERNOON workshops

Choose one of five.

1. A GARLAND OF HEARTS

Roxana Padmini

During this workshop we will engage with the meditation of Inviting Everything In.’ All are welcome and no prior experience of this meditation is required.

As we practice, we will gather the different faces and facets of what lives in our heart, garlanding these on the string of belonging, the dark shades and joyful shades, all invited in.

We will also extend our practice to hear the echoes and resonances of our wider human family.

2. Art is the Tender Heart in Action

Kitty Folmer

In this workshop we will work with art as a living force, one that awakens, nourishes and reconnects you to the deeper ground of your being. We will not be creating our own art, but we will use the creations of famous artists to experience the tender heart in action. No art skills are needed. Bring your presence and a willingness to wonder.

3. Re-breathing our relationship with practice: a Nondual Voyager’s perspective

Tove Borgendale and Shelah Stein

In this workshop, we will explore how the fragrance of Nondual Shamanism can expand our notions of everyday practice. Through discussion and experiential learning, we will bring our curiosity and kindness to the enterprise of slowing down and paying attention.

We will work with a new way of relating to the ego and explore the concept of partaking of practice rather than perfecting it. This workshop is inspired by Jason’s book, “Rebreathing the Four Noble Truths.”

4. A Nondual Look at Numerology + Mathematics

Henrik Nordmark and Tim Rothschild

In this experiential workshop, we will play with reality by stepping into multiple syntaxes—mathematics and numerology—to sense numbers as living energies. This playful shift in perspective builds our capacity for freedom, opening the heart to the mystery of infinity, the tension of opposites, and the tenderness of paradox.

We will also learn to use numbers themselves as meditations.

5. Come Closer to the Tender Heart in Action

Tadeja Bradas

How can we live a tender-hearted life while remaining strong and decisive in our actions?
In times of personal or collective crisis, it’s essential to discern when to act, when to pause, and when to stay in place, rooted in the heart.

In this workshop, we will explore how to embody this balance through meditation, reflection, and shared experience.

Saturday AFTERNOON workshops

Choose one of four.

1. Healing in Difficult Times

Beth Almerini and Eileen Marder-Mirman

Life is particularly challenging and overwhelming right now with so much change, so many questions, and so many emotions. We sometimes forget that facing these things isn’t something we’re meant to do by ourselves. Through meditation and a practice created by Jason based on the Impersonal Movement work, we will engage with creating a space that profoundly supports, nourishes and heals each of us.

2. Nondual Process for Conflict Resolution

Nina Koren and Damon Farnum

The Nondual Process for Conflict Resolution created by Jason, is a revolutionary process for resolving conflict in ourselves and our world. It is a spiritual – and also poetic – healing tool.

It offers an embodied experience of a unique and dynamic process that involves our self as we are, made by the world, and simultaneously making the world. We will be using the process together to work with themes of universal conflict which many of us are living through now and let our tender hearts be nourished by the wisdom that enfolds through it.

3. Entering the Heart of the Nondual Shaman

Rachel Zimmer and Tove Borgendale

In this workshop, we will explore the trances and illusions that cloud our perception of reality and discover a new path to return to who we truly are.

To the extent we can be in our true nature is the extent we can meet the impossible and begin healing the deep suffering within ourselves and in others. Through discussion and practice, we will explore what it means to live as a Nondual Shaman.

4. Riding the Wave of Community

Henrik Nordmark AND Shelah Stein

We often turn to community in search of connection or change—only to encounter conflict. But like music, community holds both harmony and dissonance. In this workshop, we cultivate the inner capacity to stay present through the natural rhythms of community life. Through guided meditation, reflection, and shared inquiry, we learn to ride the wave of community with tenderness and clarity.

“When we have an openhearted attitude toward ourselves, we work with everything that comes—from insight to resistance, from boredom to enthusiasm, from tears to laughter. We are in the arms of the Great Mother who is all things, who accepts all things, and who moves all things toward completion.

The final insight of Buddhism is to be tenderhearted.

The final insight of Christianity is to be tenderhearted.

The final insight of Islam, of Judaism, of life itself is to be tenderhearted.”
